1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and VirCo Solutions (Pvt) Ltd., a private limited company incorporated in Pakistan, the company that owns and operates the Hifazat Guard app and the hifazatguard.pk website (together, the "Service"). In these Terms, "Hifazat Guard", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the Service operated by VirCo Solutions (Pvt) Ltd. By downloading, accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is
Hifazat Guard is a mobile security app that provides checks and tools intended to help users make safer digital decisions, including message checking, link and QR-code checking, phone-number lookups, breach checks and family features.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Users under 18 may use the Service only with the involvement and supervision of a parent or guardian, who should configure family features. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure, and you must tell us promptly about any unauthorised use of your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms or applicable law;
- submit information that you do not have the right or permission to check;
- submit community threat reports in bad faith, including reports intended to harass or defame others;
- interfere with, probe, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the Service, except where such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law;
- resell, sublicense or redistribute the Service without our written permission; or
- use the Service to harm, stalk or monitor another person without their knowledge and consent, except for parental supervision features used with children under your care.
5. Free tier and paid plans
The Service offers a daily allowance of free security checks without an account. Signing in removes the daily limit. Where offered, additional paid plans may expand what is included. Paid plans, where available, are purchased through Google Play; billing, renewals, cancellations and refunds for those purchases are governed by Google Play's payment terms and refund policies, which are available in your Google Play account. We may change check allowances, plan availability or pricing; where we control a price change, we will communicate it before your next renewal where practicable.
6. Your content and community reports
You keep ownership of the information you submit for checks. To provide the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to process what you submit for the requested check, to protect the security and integrity of the Service, and — for community threat reports — to review, verify and share the threat information in anonymised form as threat intelligence. This licence ends when processing is complete, except for anonymised threat intelligence already derived from it.
7. Family features and Kids Mode
Family features share protection status and blocked-threat summaries between paired devices — not message content. You are responsible for using family and Kids Mode features lawfully: obtain the consent of family members you pair, configure the features appropriately for your household, and use them as an agreed safety net rather than in secret. Kids Mode controls are protected by your parent PIN, which you must keep secure.
8. Third-party services
The Service uses third-party services, including threat-intelligence providers (such as Google Safe Browsing and PhishTank) and, for paid plans, Google Play. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their actions.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including the app, the website, the Hifazat Guard name and logo, content and design, is owned by VirCo Solutions (Pvt) Ltd. and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and website for their intended purpose. Except as permitted by law, you may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.
10. Availability, changes and discontinuation
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features, and may discontinue the Service entirely, with notice where practicable. We are not responsible for unavailability caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure or uninterrupted, or that check results will be accurate, complete or current.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hifazat Guard (and its owner, VirCo Solutions (Pvt) Ltd.) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hifazat Guard and its owner, VirCo Solutions (Pvt) Ltd., together with their directors, employees and agents, from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your violation of these Terms or your unlawful use of the Service, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
14. Termination and account deletion
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time — in the app (Settings → Profile → Delete account) or on the web at hifazatguard.pk/account-deletion. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users, giving notice where practicable. Sections 6 and 9 to 13 survive termination.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. The parties will first try to resolve any dispute in good faith for 30 days after written notice; if the dispute is not resolved, it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Pakistan.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service or legal requirements change. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date, and material changes will be notified in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
