Hifazat Guard user guide

Running scans: QR, messages, websites, phone & WiFi.

Every check follows the same idea: point Hifazat Guard at the thing you are unsure about and get a plain-language assessment before you trust it.

Five everyday checks

Each check lives on the Home screen. Results are shown in English or Urdu, with the reasoning behind the assessment, not just a red or green light.

Scan a QR code or barcode

Open the QR & Barcode Scanner and point the camera at the code. Hifazat Guard reads the embedded destination and checks it before you open it, which is useful for codes on parking meters, restaurant tables and printed flyers. If the code contains a link, you see the destination and its assessment first.

Check a suspicious message

Copy the SMS or WhatsApp text you are unsure about, paste it into the Message Checker and run the check. You get a scam-versus-safe assessment with the reasoning, for example urgency cues, payment requests or impersonation signals found in the text.

Verify a website or link

Paste the URL into the Website & Link Checker. It consults multiple threat-intelligence sources and expands shortened links before checking them, so a shortened URL is judged by where it actually leads.

Audit your phone's apps

The phone audit reviews the apps installed on your device against threat intelligence and flags ones associated with risky behavior, which is helpful after installing something from outside the Play Store or lending your phone to someone.

Test your WiFi network

The WiFi check looks at the network your phone is connected to and warns you about signals associated with unsafe network configurations before you use it for banking or payments.

Other checks

Hifazat Guard also includes a Phone Number Scanner, Password Breach Check, Email Breach Check, Account Lookup, Social Profile Exposure and SIM Hijacking Check.

Remember: checks are signals designed to help you make safer decisions. No security service can guarantee that every scam or malicious item will be detected. When in doubt, verify through an official channel.
